Founder

Vince Foglia was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 31, 1935. He attended Chicago public schools and served in the United States Navy. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Vince attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, and he graduated with a B.S. in Marketing.

Vince founded Sage Products in northwest Illinois in 1971. Under Vince’s leadership, Sage Products achieved tremendous success and is widely respected as an innovator in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of prevention products sold to hospitals in the U.S. and abroad. Vince took great pride in Sage’s workforce and valued every employee. Sage associates helped the company earn multiple honors, which included ‘Best Medium-Sized Company to Work for in America.” Sage Products was sold in 2016 to Stryker and continues its success today.

Vince is active with the YMCA organization, providing leadership and support. In fact, the YMCA in Lake Zurich, Illinois, bears the Foglia name. He enjoys giving back to the many civic organizations, healthcare facilities, and youth sports programs in his community by not only providing monetary support, but also offering his leadership and mentoring skills.

Vince has been married to his wife, Pat, since 1963. They have two adult children and three grandchildren. The family currently focuses on running the Foglia Family Foundation, which provides financial support to causes that are important to the family such as healthcare, education, and community programming. Vince and Pat have been named to the prestigious list of Distinguished Benefactors by The Chicago Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Founder

Patricia Foglia was born in 1940. She is the youngest of five daughters and was born and raised in the northwest side of Chicago, Illinois.

Pat met Vince Foglia at a dance for young professionals in Chicago, and the two were married in 1963. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.

As the family’s company, Sage Products, grew and became more successful, Pat and Vince wanted to give back to their community and to support the causes that were important to them, so they created the Foglia Family Foundation in 1993. In its early years, Pat focused on running the foundation. She and her husband provided financial support to educational, healthcare, and local community programming.

Pat has a special fondness for animals and has owned many dogs throughout her life. She is a strong supporter and advocate for Young at Heart, an organization that rescues senior dogs and cats and provides them with a chance to find a forever family. Pat most recently discovered her love for horse racing. She and her son, Vinnie, own several horses, one of which is Two Phil’s, a colt that placed second in the 2023 Kentucky Derby.

Pat enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren, and she is an avid reader and enjoys playing bridge with friends. Pat and Vince split their time between their homes in Illinois and Florida, and they support many programs and organizations in both of these communities. Pat and Vince have been named to the prestigious list of Distinguished Benefactors by The Chicago Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Executive Board Member

Vinnie serves as an Executive Board Member with the Foglia Family Foundation. He has a progressive industry background with a decisive leadership style. His strength in strategic planning and experience in change management offers a forward-thinking mindset. He holds a BS in Management from DePaul University. He has 25 years experience in operations, supply chain management, and manufacturing.

Vinnie serves on the boards of the following organizations: Sage YMCA, Wynstone Golf Club, Recovery Force LLC, Good Shepherd Hospital, Neurobalance Center, and Let It Be Us.

Vinnie lives in Barrington with his wife, Cheryl. They have one adult son, Anthony.

Executive Board Member

Kym Foglia-Wagner retired from Sage Products, Inc. as Vice President of Marketing after almost 25 years. A proud graduate of University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she is an avid visual arts collector and still enjoys creating and learning. Kym and her husband Jeremy currently split their time between Chicago and Miami Beach. They have two adult children, Tyler and Zoe.
